Libreville

My name is Libreville and I am the capital of Gabon.

I would like very much to be included among the cities which are struggling to preserve nature but, alas, the inhabitants I love so much, instead of treating me with respect and taking care of me, pollute me without realising that it is harmful to them and their children.

It is true that they have provided me with electricity, drinking water, transportation and a cleanliness department, however there is still much to finish off as this infrastructure involves other important needs related to the environment.

For this, I have big plans to live in harmony with the planet and make my inhabitants happy, if they would just listen to me.

I present to you the plan in question which is called:

"FOR A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT"

  • We must organize recycling and underground storage of waste in the city's cleanliness system, as well as the cleaning up of rivers and seas

  • Set up a related system of cleaning up waste water for use in agriculture

  • Encourage the use of public transport and inspect discharges from vehicles and factories

Once we have done this, we will be able to say that my inhabitants and I live in a healthy environment.

We will then fly, swim and climb in harmony.

Long live nature.
