I stared to think what I should do. Then I asked my grandpa to grasp some idea. "Grandpa, I have to write about our environment. But I have no idea. I heard that environment is very important but I don't have any clue". After hearing my worries, he told me a very old story instead of answering the question.

I am a little ant who doesn't know the world well. One day at school my teacher gave us homework. It was about "Our environment".
Long time ago, we ants lived in a peaceful and fertile world. Wherever we go there were plenty of food and fruits. So we always ate and played without working. We became very lazy. We got to hate doing even hand's turn. Finally, we became very fat and indolent ants. When we dined and wined we threw excessive food away without hesitation. Consequently the food wastes were here and there scattered everywhere. So the food wastes overflowed into the mountains, on the streets, in the rivers and the sea. The problem was not only the volume of food waste itself but also bad smell. They stank to high heaven. However we did not clean them away, instead just continued to waste food.
All of a sudden, thunder crashed and rumbled. Rain poured down without stopping. Then something gushed down out of mountains, and rose from rivers, streams and sea. That was the food garbage ants had thrown away carelessly. At that time many ants were crushed to death under the food waste. Along with them green grass, flowers and trees also died away.
A village chief ant called survivor ants to have a meeting. "We suffered a disaster due to the food waste we dumped away in the mountains and the sea. It took away our lives. Our village was destroyed. We have to restore it. We have to restore our environment.
Now we know that the most important thing is our environment. Therefore, from now on an ant that wastes food and throws them away will be punished severely. Please make your meal as much as you need and do not make food waste. And we will build a village, schools and plant trees and work hard. Do you understand?"
Since then ants worked very hard, and they respected the importance of food and did not waste them. The village started to get more and more peaceful. And they had a beautiful environment as before, where it smelled sweet, everywhere was green and flowers bloomed.
After hearing grandpa's story, I pricked at my conscience, thinking that the environment is so important and the garbage I throw away thoughtlessly can make it dirty. Then leftover from lunch time today came to my mind. Now, I will enjoy my meals and not make any leftover. The world without flowers and tress will be terrible. I realized how important the environment is to our lives. Thanks! Grandpa. It's time to go to bed. Bye!
