A very long time ago in America, people lived in harmony with nature... They talked with each other and nature talked to them through its rain, its birds, its harvests, its trees...

The people thanked the earth by making offerings to it and by dancing and singing, and it seemed to understand the message. But the people became too ambitious and little by little they stopped listening to the voice of the earth and became deaf to its cries.

Blinded by greed, people began to give up any control and to extract all the natural resources of the earth, starting with its metals: gold, silver, copper, until there was not an ounce left. Then they exploited its timber: entire forests were cut down to the ground, and then it was the turn of oil and a little later the water. The earth felt the hand of man crushing it, forcing it, tightening it and wounding it. The balance was broken, the world had become chaotic. Man justified his plundering in the name of progress. There were wars and famine around the world. And the earth could not understand why the human race was seeking its own destruction by destroying its own habitat.

But everything has its limit, and the earth said: That's enough! - and shouted. And this shout was heard by all the people around the world, and was so loud that the whole planet cracked, surely because it was too dry, because there was nothing left, nothing left to exploit.

However, in a corner of the planet there was a group of children playing and laughing, and their game was really simple... They were playing at hiding seeds in the soil and dreaming that these seeds would give fruits which over time would transform themselves into trees, and these seeds already had names that the children had given to them. Their names were: BROTHERHOOD, PEACE, FRIENDSHIP, LOVE... When the earth saw them, it was touched.
