When fishermen receive the Water God's Blessing,
There ensues a heavy downpour
Caused by a mighty wind that whips up
The waves and casts the fish into
The fishermen's nets.
Upon returning to the village, the youngsters,
The old men, the mothers, the old women, the children,
Old and young alike run and greet the fishermen
With immense pride.
Only the wisest and most courageous of fishermen
Easily receive the Water God's blessing.
The fishermen are men, fathers
Heads of families.
Know-how is passed on over the years,
From generation to generation.
