"Sketches around the world" in Switzerland

Welcome to "Belle Ville!

Let us introduce you to the town's Mayor - Mr. Propre - and his wife. We are the Anti-Polls, anti-pollution. To visit our town, please follow our directions: on your left, at the top, there is a little pond connected to the River Sionge. At the bottom on the left, you can see the town waste collection center. Bottom right, you can see the games square. On the cars, there are two little aerials that are used as solar panels. The houses are fitted with windmills which supply pollution-free electricity. Bottom right, you can see "Brice from Nice" throwing away an aluminum can, he knows all about sorting waste!

We hope the world will really change!

Welcome to "Pollu-Ville".

Here, there is more and more pollution. There is a blind man to the left of the picture who is "lucky" not to be able to see all that. But unfortunately, he can smell it and is breathing it all in. As you can see, there is tarmac everywhere, everything is piled up; in short everything is polluted.

There are no houses, just apartment blocks. Everything is burning because of the pollution. In "Pollu-Ville", even the children smoke, it's garbage!

On this drawing, you can see the least polluted corner of the town. There is not even enough room for a school... Of course, there was one there before, but the mayor decided to replace it with a refinery. Anyway all the children end up becoming polluters. There is no more drinking water. What was left was polluted by oil. There are no more animals apart from the rats.

What can be done to reduce pollution...?
