The Winning Message: Aguascalientes

Daniel Alejandro form Rosario Castellanos school - Aguascalientes

Turning on the tap to get a glass of water is such a simple task for a great many of us, but for a not insignificant number of people living on our planet, getting a small amount of water requires an effort that can be measured in miles... a long, tiring walk with heavy loads on their shoulders.

Many people use water in large quantities to have fun, these people are not teaching their children about the value of water, how it is very important to protect it. These people do not realize that water is becoming an endangered resource, that people die every day from dehydration, that the forests are losing their lovely colors, that for us maybe rivers and waterfalls will one day be only a distant memory.

Water is life and without it we would not exist

Every single one of us can do his bit to protect it, to use it wisely, to teach future generations how important this element is. We must, collectively, manage to change the way people think so that, when their turn comes, our children can discover the colors of nature, the crystal clear water in the streams, so that nobody has to suffer anymore in order to get access to water.

I hope with all my heart that my dream for progress does not remain confined to this drawing... I would like to hope that it will become reality.
