Inauguration de l'exposition « Croquis autour du Monde »

On June 9, 2006, two children from the prize-winning class in each of the participating countries, accompanied by their teacher, received the Sketches around the World campaign prizes, at UNESCO House.

Armoogum Parsuramen, the Secretary of the UNESCO Executive Committee, Jean Favier, Chairman of the French National Commission for UNESCO, Sigrid Niedermayer, International Coordinator of the associated schools network for UNESCO and Jérôme Contamine, Executive Managing Director of Veolia Environnement were present at this prize-giving ceremony.

Armoogum Parsuramen, Secretary of the UNESCO Executive Committee, Dominique Héron, Official Representative of Veolia Environnement, Jacques Perrin, Chairman of Galatée Films, and François Sarano presiding over the prize-giving ceremony.

On the occasion of this fine event, Jacques Perrin, Chairman of Galatée Films, and François Sarano came to present images, as wonderful as they were impressive, from their next film on the theme of the oceans.

The date of this big international meeting was significant as it corresponded with the week dedicated to sustainable development as part of UNESCO's sixtieth anniversary celebrations.

After the UNESCO House in Paris, on June 9, 2006, the Sketches around the world exhibition is continuing its big international tour and will travel through most of the countries that took part in the 2006 programme.
