"Winter, spring, summer, autumn, rivers and woods,
love my children

Fire, water, sky, earth and all the gods:
love what I love!"

Lőrinc Szabó: A prayer for children

Our streamer

Our class, 5.b, in the primary school József Eötvös de Dorog has prepared their work for the international programme "Streamers around the world" with a lot of excitement and a great deal of interest. Among the many projects, we have chosen the flag that best symbolises the message related to protection of the environment and health for the group in our class.

There are three main colours in our streamer. Blue to show the importance of the air and water, green symbolising living nature (fields, forests, woodlands), yellow to draw attention to the vital strength of light and the sun's rays.

We have drawn the earth in the middle of a hexagonal shape that is surrounded by a crowd of children holding hands to symbolise the need for solidarity in the world.

We have divided the geometric shape into four parts and the patterns are repeated on the sides, one facing another.

They symbolise trees, hills, nature, houses, villages and towns.

The sun appears from behind the clouds reminding us of the harmony between the built-up areas and nature.

We would finally like to transmit the message of our national colour in the blue triangle: we are Hungarian, children from a small country in the middle of Europe who would like to do something so that people can live on this earth in a healthy environment.
