Using the workbook
A workbook should be handed to each child. Like a travel log or notebook, it has been designed for children.
The notebook has been designed to be used by just one child who can take it home, use it to record the results of investigations, stick in photographs or magazine and newspaper articles, draw and write down ideas, etc.
It should help children improve their perceptions of life in their town or city. Through the debates, children think through their ideas and share them with their friends.
The workbook can be used for comparison, discussion and extended to encompass other activities.
It can become exhibition material, the source of debate or a suggestions box. The book contains many activity suggestions which can be used beyond the "Streamers around the world" operation.
