The event
After a long journey from Boston in the US, the scroll made its first stopover in Germany at Weisswasser on Tuesday May 11.
After being welcomed in the morning by Mr Grosa, head of Weisswasser's municipal services, pre-selected children were able to draw their message on the scroll.
The drawing shows the water tower, the nature park and the symbol of Weisswasser.
The five children and their classmates attending the event all received gifts for taking part in this environment day.
Once the program was over, the scroll started its journey to Görlitz in Saxony.
