The event

25 children from St Vincent de Paul Infant School in Marino have been working on ideas on what we can do every day for our environment and health.

Children from St Vincent De Paul Infant School, Marino have been working hard through the Scroll work-book.The Senior Infant class and teacher Ms. Bernie Murphy are coming up with lots of ideas for 'living well in our city' of Dublin.

The children have been thinking about how they can reduce the amount of rubbish going into the bin, and how they can save water and energy by making small changes at home.

I never leave the light on in my room when I am not there anymore, and we have started to recycle at home, all my family has got involved.

Ireland is stop number 20 on the Scroll's world wide tour.

On Wednesday 2nd June St. Vincent de Paul's senior infant class will represent Ireland with their drawings on the Scroll.

Three children will represent the class and draw on the Scroll; the other children from the class will take part in plate painting and display their own drawings. The event will take place at Clontarf Castle in Dublin.

The students are very excited to be taking part in the event, and lots of their ideas are very innovative. We have been monitoring the Scroll's tour in the different countries and the children are really looking forward to big day when they represent Ireland on the Scroll. Says Teacher Bernie.
